Mobile malware was considered a new and unlikely threat a decade ago, majority mobile device users considered themselves are immune from such threats.  Nowadays, Cyber criminals are arising and changing their attacks on mobile devices with new weapons, and no one is immune.

According to Dimensional Research for Check Point Software survey, over 20 percent of companies responded that their mobile devices have been breached. A quarter of respondents didn’t know whether they’ve experienced an attack. Nearly all companies (94 percent) expected the frequency of mobile attacks will arise further, and 79% admitted that to secure mobile devices will become more difficult.

Mobile threat researchers identify five new threats to mobile device security that can influence the business, including:

1. Persistent, enterprise-class spyware

2.     Mobile botnets

3.     Ad and click fraud

4.     Internet of Things (IoT)

5.     Dead apps
